Quoting Ray Bradbury (1920-2012), who passed away on Tuesday, at 91-years-old. He wasn’t one for technology and perhaps not electronic tributes either.

But here’s ours anyway.

I read Fahrenheit 451 for the first time only a couple of weeks ago. I was amazed at his passion and I don’t remember ever being so moved to just try harder to keep knowledge alive. I’m a game design student, and I spend my life surrounded by computers, my phone is never out of my hand, I’m constantly connected to the internet, never more than a button press away from talking to anyone I want to. And yet, I refuse to read e-books, and I use the library for studying more than the internet. I just like the feeling of books. They unwind me, I find them easier to focus on. I like how they look, how they feel. I can’t imagine a bedroom without books. I just don’t get people who don’t read. All the information and you aren’t taking any of it in. I just don’t get any of it.
